About Booking & Availability

How far in advance should I book?

Most of our clients book approximately 6 months ahead, especially for peak season dates (May through October). That said, we occasionally have openings for events with shorter timelines. Reach out and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

What’s your booking process?

It’s refreshingly simple: Call us to discuss your date and vision. Schedule a visit to walk the property. If it feels right, place your deposit to secure the date. That’s it!

Do you offer last-minute bookings?

Occasionally, yes. While most events are planned months in advance, we understand that some gatherings happen on shorter notice. Contact us and we’ll work with you if our schedule allows.

How do I check availability for my date?

What does it cost to rent Camp Reily?

About Pricing & Payment

Our venue rental ranges depending on your date, which spaces you need, and the scope of your event. We provide custom quotes because no two gatherings are identical.

What’s included in the rental fee?

Access to your selected venue spaces (The Lodge, Chapel, Field, Pavilion, and grounds), use of the property for your event duration, and the peace of mind that comes from working with a reliable, drama-free team.

What’s not included?

Catering, rentals (tables, chairs, linens), bar service, florals, photography, planning services, and any other vendors. As a venue-only rental, you have complete freedom to choose the partners who best fit your vision and budget.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and checks. A deposit is required to secure your date.

About the venue

is there a kitchen available?

Yes, there is a kitchen inside the lodge with a commercial range and refrigerator. The kitchen is not stocked, so caterers will need to bring all other supplies, equipment, and serving items.

are there accomodations on-site?

No, Camp Reily is a venue-only property and does not offer indoor overnight accommodations. However, rustic tent camping is available onsite for guests who wish to stay close to the celebration. We’re also happy to recommend nearby lodging options for you and your guests who prefer offsite accommodations.

are there restrooms onsite?

Yes, Camp Reily has flushable restroom facilities on the property. The restrooms are functional with electricity, though they maintain the rustic character of the property's summer camp heritage and are not air-conditioned. For large events, we often recommend bringing in additional portable restrooms to ensure guest comfort.

Is wifi available?

No, Camp Reily does not currently offer WiFi. This intentional choice encourages guests to be fully present during your event — connecting with each other rather than their devices. For couples and companies seeking an unplugged experience where conversations deepen and distractions fade, the absence of WiFi often becomes one of the venue's most appreciated features.

Is there access to electricity?

Yes, the Lodge has electricity. For events in the Field or other outdoor areas, you may need to provide a generator depending on your power needs.

What’s the venue capacity?

Each space at Camp Reily has its own capacity:
The Lodge: Up to 100 guests
The Pavilion: 40-50 guests
The Chapel: 40-50 guests

For tented events on the Field, capacity is flexible based on your tent size and layout—your imagination is the limit (within reason). We'll work with you during your site visit to determine the best configuration for your specific event.

Is the venue climate-controlled?

The Lodge does not have heating or air conditioning. For warmer months, the open-air flow and wooded setting provide natural cooling. We recommend planning around Pennsylvania’s seasons — spring through fall offer the most comfortable conditions.

Do we have to use specific vendors?

About vendors & Planning

No. You choose your caterer, florist, photographer, planner, rentals, and all other vendors. We want your event to feel authentically yours, and that means working with the professionals you trust.

What about music or entertainment?

Live music, DJs, and entertainment are welcome. We ask that you be respectful of our outdoor setting and mindful that sound carries differently in the woods.

do you allow alcohol?

Yes, alcohol is permitted at Camp Reily. We simply ask that you and your guests enjoy responsibly and treat the property with care and respect.

can we have a bonfire?

Yes, fires are welcome in our designated fire ring. Large bonfires outside of this area are not permitted for any reason.

About logistics

The property features natural pathways and rustic terrain. During your site visit, we’ll walk the spaces together so you can assess accessibility for your specific guest needs.

Is the venue accessible?

300 Camp Reily Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112 — in Middle Paxton Township, within the beautiful Fishing Creek Valley, just outside Harrisburg city.

Where is Camp Reily located?

The Lodge and Pavilion offer covered options. For Field events, we recommend having a professional tent as your rain plan. Pennsylvania weather is unpredictable, so we always encourage backup planning.

What if it rains?

We’ll discuss this in detail when you book, but we aim to be fair and understanding while also protecting the dates we hold for you.
